Timberlake is a pretty decent fellow, who, along with his good fortune, has made repeated charitable contributions and has lent his name and personage to some great causes.

I think your criticism* against both of these public figures is shallow, and miscasts the totality of their lives and efforts to make your point about class and privilege.

Di Caprio ran into scheduling problems due to a documentary on climate change he is currently filming. I think it was very decent of them and find it amazing to see their generosity slammed and snarked at on a Democratic website. What do you want them to do, sit back and let rich Republicans do all the fundraising? Both Timberlake and Biel have worked for everything they have. Timberlake's stepfather and his family went to our church in West Virginia when both he and I were kids...and I can tell you for sure he was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Very nice folks, though.

Do something to get rich, famous and connected. You'll never get discovered otherwise. You'll experience a lot of competition, but you have to start somewhere.

Not all of us value those things so much, but it sounds like you do. I would rather have my privacy.
