I'm very sad for our nation, and I blame "conservatives"

I understand that our elections have always been brutal. Take a walk through the Lincoln Museum in Springfield, Illinois and you will learn that the same truly awful things were said about him as were said about President Obama and as are being now said about Hillary Clinton. However I truly believe that currently this kind of garbage has been whipped up and generated by "conservatives" and their hate government philosophy.

I believe it has spread to radical leftists.

When I have complained about this to "conservatives" I invariably get the both sides do it, fallacy of the golden mean stuff. No, both sides really don't do it. We aren't perfect and certainly we are saying terrible things about Donald Trump, but the facts are the facts. I'm not sure if he is a child rapist and that would have to be proven. I'm not sure that he is in the pocket of Putin but there are some severe facts that support that theory, and that's different.

Take the latest faux scandal, the contributions to the Clinton Foundation. How could soliciting for what sure seems to be a fabulous charity constitute even the appearance of impropriety when none of the Clintons had any personal gain, and none of the people involved seem to have gotten anything in return?

So it goes, down the line, with all of the terrible things said about Hillary Clinton. There's no proof that she did anything improper, intentionally. Yet even on the left there are mutterings of "trust" and what not.

What Hillary Clinton represents is someone who has served our nation and has experience. This experience is spun against her in exactly the same way as John Kerry's Vietnam service on a swiftboat was spun against him. What could be more outrageous than spinning a bona fide war hero's heroism against him?

And this is tolerated? WTF?

It's wrong, people. If you don't have proof, your allegations should be held against you. And time and time again this is what "conservatives" do. They have no proof. They just keep throwing crap against the wall.

Rant over, for now.

I'm not addressing that with my opening post. I'm addressing the "conservative" effort to drag down everyone with smears and lies. This tactic is intentional and malicious.

1. The Clinton Foundation is an awesome charity, doing awesome work;

2. There is not a shred of evidence that any Clinton has any personal benefit other than doing awesome charity; and,

3. There is not a shred of evidence that anyone has gained anything in exchange for a contribution.

How many other examples do I need to raise? The e-mail garbage. Swiftboat liars. Willie Horton. Birtherism.

Combine this with obstruction, the treasonous act of putting Donald Trump in a position of having any possibility for.being president.

No, both sides don't do it.

so many times that people have heard the lie way more than the truth and whatever is heard the most is believed the most. It seems to work. I think the Dems try to counter with the truth, but doesn't get heard as much because the media either gives the Repubs equal time or more... overall the Repub message gets repeated more (liberal media bias is BS).
