His kids who are part of his campaign are out and about - Uday and Qusay because they're assholes like their dad, and Ivanka because she's hot and Dad wants to do her - but he never mentions Melania any more, or the other daughter or the younger son or the grandkids. Why? Because they can't do anything for him. He can't relate to the concept of being more approachable on account of being a grandfather (grandfathers are old, after all - look at what Eric tweeted about Hillary), and anyhow, Trump assumes everybody adores him already so why so should he pretend to care about some kids he probably never sees?
