How would the logistics work - Trump's new "they'll pay taxes"

I know a handful of illegals.

They literally walked here from Mexico to San Antonio.

They are men who openly work the ranches.

Their families stayed in Mexico

They earn $25 a day and send half home every week.

If they worked 360 days a year, which they don't, that would be $9,000

In 2015, the most you can earn without paying taxes is $10,300.

EVERYONE knows they are here, no one seems to care.

Every ranchers employs them.

Say, under Trump's plan, someone ($$$ new Government expense), finds
them.

Someone else ($$$ new Government expense) sits down with them and asks them how much they have made over the years. Oops, not enough to pay.

Republicans mock Sanctuary Cities - when all across red Texas and elsewhere there are probably thousands of sanctuary towns. I couldn't care less, but I seems so simple to me - if they want undocumented immigrants out - then punish/fine the people who hire them. And no one is and it's never even suggested. Kind of a quiet, secret understanding among residents, police, & municipal officials.

You are so right about Trump. He seems to lack any kind of intellectual depth. Like his brain doesn't go to "let me think, how would that work." Guess it is because, in his big building empire, he is the vision guy ? Like he thinks/says, I would love to have a tower sitting on the Strip. And that's it, the underlings make it happen.

the people who hire them can't deduct them as a business expense. If they become "regular" employers, they will. So, this would negative part of the tax revenue gained.

3. You bring up a very good point and it needs to become an issue.

I too live in an area that highly agricultural. 95% of the farmhands are Hispanic, and most illegal. The farm operations can't get whites, or blacks, to work in the conditions and at the pay rates they pay. Few farmers pay their Hispanic labor even the US minimum wage. They don't give them all the protections provided by labor laws.

Most of the farmers around here are big time Republican and many are teabaggers. Most have Trump signs up on their properties. WHY is this situation not addressed? Why is Trump no pressed on this issue? Who will work the farms when the Hispanics are deported? This scenario repeats itself all over the country. Several million Hispanics doing work that somebody has to do. Hell, then you toss in the number of Hispanics doing the residential roofing work.

heat for $25/day? And what rancher would say, oh wait, let me pay this citizen $50+ instead?

Perhaps where the real animosity is coming from is in other areas - perhaps cities where jobs, like construction are going to illegals in lieu of citizens? But, once again, to me, it all goes back to money. Obviously people who hire chose the cheapest option. Still all points back to policing/fining those who hire.

Trump should understand this since he chose all those other companies to make his ties, suits, etc.

immigrants. On the other hand, won't propose a law to up fines on employers or funding for more immigration agents.

It is surely one of those things I would add to a list of questions if we and not the press could ask questions

Many undocumented workers are on the books under SS accounts that obviously don't belong to them. That way their employers avoid breaking the law. The payroll tax revenue from these accounts helps fund SS for everyone else. Put all the undocumented legitimately on the books and that revenue stream turns into a liability instead.

does it work? If the number is just made up 123 45 6789 the money gets turned in and SSA tries to apply it and goes into some unapplied kitty?

If the number truly belongs to someone like John Doe wouldn't he get a W-2 doc showing those funds have accrued to his benefit?
