2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumTrump is lying through his teeth about Hillary in this horrorshow of a speech.
Jesus, if you believed him, she's trying to deliberately destroy the US through a nefarious plot connecting the emails, the foundation and her bogus term as SOS.
"It's Watergate all over again. And she's being totally protected by our government."
I can't believe he can get away with this.
I hope she sinks his battleship this afternoon.

(40,199 posts)Every word that comes out of his mouth is like an assault on everything decent. He is the most disgusting person to ever run for president.
Trump is now trying to find cover from his own words.

(58,785 posts)have done virtually all the damage they can here and internationally already. As witnessed by his current effort to backtrack to avoid a complete, humiliating wipeup.
I really think, Nolabear, that ejecting Trump and what he stands for soundly at the polls will be something we can take satisfaction in and point to as a nation, an affirmation of who we really are. We will not be in shock, though the remnant Republican Party will be reeling.
My hope is that one consequence will be a sternly angry eye cast on the press.

That he has more than 4 supporters speaks volumes about the sad state of our culture.

(25,237 posts)It never ceases to amaze me how actions and words can be twisted to do damage to a person. Hillary and Bill have been around for a long time and the Repugs have continually attacked them every step of the way and used their (the Clinton's) actions and words against them. Trump and his new campaign staff is taking advantage of the Clinton's long service to our country and is twisting it around to attack them. It was to be expected and I just wish that Hillary's campaign would have been more prepared to fight back.
I keep hearing about 33,000 e-mails and now an additional 15,000 e-mails now being released and the Repugs and the MSM cherry pick them to use against Hillary. Surely in all those e-mails there were an overwhelmingly more e-mails that showed the positive things that were accomplished by Hillary. Why isn't her campaign focusing on this? Why aren't they focusing on all the good that the Clinton Global Initiative has accomplished all over the world?
Trump keeps on talking about the corrupt government. Why isn't someone asking him if he means the Repugs that are in government as well? In fact they (the Repugs)have been in control for quite a while in the Congress. Why aren't the Dems and the Hillary campaign pointing their fingers at the gridlock they have caused and how they basically shot down most Democratic initiatives over the last 8 years.
