First of all, he easily won the nomination of a party that can't win any racial demographic besides Whites. Based on the Repuke's delegate scorecard, one must conclude that he figured out "modern" Whites perfectly.

Secondly, what is a "modern" White person? I'm Black, 45, and have lived in White neighborhoods around the country all my life. I haven't seen any difference since the 70s, just better dog whistles, code words, and fake smiles.

Third, how is:

Trump didn't win the Republican(White) nomination because he didn't talk about race. He won because he did. If Trump doesn't understand the modern(?) White person, then I and every non-White person I know must be absolutely clueless too.
