2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumTrump has now put out an ad using an unfair primary debate attack against Hillary.
During Bill's administration, Hillary supported the crime bill, and talked in a speech about needing to curb violent gangs in the cities. In that speech she was talking specifically about violent gang members -- who come in all colors (including white) -- when she used the term "super-predators."
Now there's a Trump ad out showing an edited clip of Hillary talking about super-predators (leaving out the context of gang violence), followed by Bernie denouncing her for using what he claimed was a racist term. But the word wasn't used by Hillary to describe members of a racial group, and the psychologist who introduced the term didn't apply it to racial groups either -- he used it to describe serial killers like the Columbine shooter.
Trump has promised to use more of Bernie's words against her in the future. Not looking forward to it.

(2,542 posts)One ignorance begat another. And I bet there are still "some" who find nothing wrong with that context-free attack even to this day. I've never seen Michelle Alexander answer for trying to make it an issue, especially since she should have absolutely known better.

(48 posts)Pretty much everybody knows just how racist he is, as evidenced by his dismal poll numbers among Hispanics and Black Americans. These cheap tricks will only prove to Americans just how pathetic and desperate Donald truly is. He is going to be humiliated badly during the debates, that is if he actually doesn't back out of partaking in them.
