A little help here...

My personal feeling about our President is that he is sly as a fox..

But I can’t figure this one out.. There seems to be no political upside to the Bergdalh story except the fact that we saved a very sick U.S. war prisoner from dying in a Taliban Prison.. Purely a humanitarian situation of not abandoning “one of our own" captured in a military action...

The fact that there are many questions surrounding the issues that he abandoned his unit and spoke unfavorably concerning the military action of U.S. Govt..could turn out be a political issue that these
lying thugs won’t use in the upcoming elections..

My point is that thousands of lives depend on the continued success of the ACA and that I feel that no edge no matter what the issue should ever be handed to the Republicans who are out to destroy anything the President has accomplished over the past 6 yrs....

I’m a little down tonight...

It is not going to affect the ACA at all, so I don't see what your point is.

Unless you think it's going to cause the Republicans to win both houses of Congress and the White House and get ACA repealed. That is fantasyland thinking. It might have a tiny effect on the upcoming midterms, but the effect will be very small if at all. It will have no effect whateer on the elections in 2016. None. Zero. Nada. It will have been completely forgoptten by then.

And even if Republicans to win both houses of Congress and the White House, they would not be able to repeal the ACA after it has been in place for five full years. Not a chance.

3. Not a chance in hell our President would abandon any POW, even if Republicans make a stupid issue.

4. No matter what action Obama took in this situation, the GOP would find something to criticize.

I don't give two shits about whether or not this guy deserted or what his opinions are or were. He didn't deserve to be imprisoned indefinitely by the Taliban.

We need to empty Gitmo. Getting a POW home is a bonus.
