I read an article in USA today about a guy who worked for Goldwater in 1964 he even sounded disgusted with today's republican party.

(21,046 posts)In 1964 there were reasonable Republicans. Now there aren't any. Even though Goldwater had some nutty ideas, he had some sensible ones too.
Did you know that Robert Welch played the judge in the movie "Anatomy of a Murder"?
With Lee Remick and Ben Gazzara and George C. Scott.
Welch was the guy (representing the Army)who during the Army-McCarthy hearings, said, "Sir, do you, at long last, have no sense of decency?"

(19,288 posts)You can tell when he's lying because his lips are moving. He certainly believes we are are all beneath him and that we are all stupid. Yes. They lie with impunity.
And news sources are allowed to knowing lie because there is a law that allows it. It's up to us to fact check.
And trolls have been sic'ed onto liberal sites to disrupt and challenge popular consensus.
Just like the olden days when there was only print media, you had to be taught not to believe everything you read, because seeing it written gives it credibility.
Buyer beware!
