2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHopefully this week ended Jeb Bush's presidential aspirations
With Iraq back in the news and immigration reform now shown to be political poison within republican circles, can we safely say that Jeb is done?

(3,539 posts)Jeb Bush may be finished but Teapublicans being what they are, whatever replacement they choose to hold on high will be more out of touch, more crazy and more vile than old Jeb himself could have imagined.

(54,277 posts)In a party that nominated his idiot brother and propelled him dishonestly into the Oval Office, we can't count anybody out from that rat pack. They're bat shit enough to have Herman Cain be their front runner again for a while, and then nominate Rand Paul with Michele Bachmann as his running mate (term to be interpreted as loosely as you see fit).

(54,277 posts)Believe me, if they think they have a shot, it won't matter to them if it's legitimate or not.
If Hillary's the nominee, they'll spend a billion dollars trying to convince America she's Frau Blücher, but it will only work with Foxsuckers and fans of National Hate Radio. But that presumes Hillary will run, and despite all the media hype, I'm not completely convinced she will. Oh she'd love to be president, alright. I'm just not convinced she'd love to be a CANDIDATE for president again.

(19,288 posts)It becomes absurd to even try. Talk radio has had radicalization effects that has moved the Right into Fascist ideology. They have no room for moderate or centrist thinking. And they have a White Supremacy/Crony Capitalism problem that the middle class does not identify with.
