Exclusive: Republicans Ready Messaging Campaign Aimed at Women

U.S. Republican party officials are putting together a new election year messaging campaign to reach women voters on issues including Obamacare, jobs and education as they seek to gain an advantage in the Nov. 4 congressional elections.

About three weeks of internal polling and focus group research has identified jobs and household finances as the most important issues among 1,206 likely women voters, according to the Republican National Committee, which commissioned the surveys along with the National Republican Congressional Campaign.

Party officials said Obamacare was also a top issue, with 55 percent of women polled opposing President Barack Obama's signature domestic policy and 43 percent voicing strong opposition.

The findings show far more opposition than independent public opinion polls, including a Kaiser Family Foundation tracking poll that showed 43 percent of women and 48 percent of men opposed to Obamacare in May.

The research identified the phrase "start over" as a message that resonated with many women on Obamacare. The Republicans have been seeking to bridge the gap between loyal voters who want the healthcare law thrown out and those who favor retaining its consumer protections as part of a different reform environment.

they're going to tapdance on them. This is going to be a load of fun to watch. I can just imagine the type of women in their focus groups.

Or the bedroom...

Which is the undercurrent of all GOP women outreach. They inevitably tip their hand. They cannot help witnessing for their true -- and vile -- beliefs.

be going with the policy of the rethugliCON legislator from the state of Maine who believes that "rape should be legal."

Or possibly the allowing of kids in daycare to open carry those pretty pink AK's sporting twenty shot clips with Sponge Bob prints on the side.

7. All the women I know hate having expanded access to health care for themselves and their families

just like all of them also hate:

1. Birth Control (many of them want old white men to prevent them from having access to contraception so that they might become the next Michelle Duggar and have 19 kids- or more)

2. Sexual & Reproductive Freedom (many women LOVE having old white men have legal control over their uteruses and genitals and enjoy being made into sex objects and incubators for them- even when brain dead. Many of them also thrill to unnecessary Transvaginal Ultrasounds).

They will surely vote for the Republicans in droves this year! The best part (for them) is that Republicans really mean what they say when it comes to "womens issues" and will surely deliver on their campaign promises made to their American Taliban-populated "base" and attempt to deliver all of these things (and more) just for them if they take control of the House AND Senate!

(except for most of that last part)

13. What a focus group will not tell the Republicans.......

Is whether or not Republican candidates are the right messengers on the Affordable Care Act. If voters do not trust the messengers they will not trust the message either. And Republicans have been repeating "Repeal and Replace" for so long it is hard to believe that they can change things now by tweaking the message. "Start Over" sounds suspiciously like "Repeal and Replace" and it is likely only going to work with the Republican faithful, which will not be enough. They can focus group all day long on the ACA and miss that important point.

Pelley: Does the government have a responsibility to provide health care to the 50 million Americans who don’t have it today?

Romney: Well, we do provide care for people who don’t have insurance, people – we – if someone has a heart attack, they don’t sit in their apartment and die. We pick them up in an ambulance, and take them to the hospital, and give them care. And different states have different ways of providing for that care.

Pelley: That’s the most expensive way to do it.

Romney: Well the–

Pelley: In an emergency room.
