Video/Transcript: John "GET OFF MY LAWN" McCain Calls Tim Kaine a Liar on Iraq

Bottom line, John McCain is completely off the deep end. It's sad, because he used to be a voice of moderation and reason back in the 1990s, but that John McCain is loooong gone. Just thank whatever deity you worship, if any, that McCain never became President, let alone his evil village idiot running mate Sarah Palin becoming VP. Oh, and speaking of evil village idiots, can the corporate news media PLEASE stop giving this foaming-at-the-mouth maniac a platform to, well, foam at the mouth?

US foreign policy with the leader of another country thats, contrary to the Logan Act. Even in far fetched land the Senate can only approve or reject treaties and foreigh

The role of the Senate in dealing directly with international problems is severely and properly limited by the Constitution, which vests in the Executive Branch exclusive power to conduct foreign relations.

which they can do as oversight. Remember when the right went crazy when Kerry and Dodd, both long time members of the SFRC, went to Syria in I think 2006? (They then got map when Pelosi went with a Congressional delegation) They ignored the fact that it was an approved Senate trip and Lugar was chair. They also ignored that the Senators asked SoS Rice if there were questions they could ask for her - getting info, yet distancing the administration.

Here, I think they went to the line to see what people there were saying were willing to accept. The Logan Act has rarely really been an issue. It means they can not negotiate with a foreign country -- however in reality they have no position to really commit the US to anything.
