Emails prove that Virginia Dem Senator was offered Tobacco Commission job BEFORE his resignation

Quid, meet quo. Smoking gun right here. Republican Terry Kilgore - brother of 2005 Republican gubernatorial nominee Jerry Kilgore - orchestrated the offer to then-State Senator Phil Puckett (D) of a job with the state Tobacco Commission in exchange for resigning his seat and throwing the 20-20 Virginia State Senate to Republican control.
