Please support the Federal Export Import Bank the tea party is trying to destroy

Please support and go below and sign letter to your congressman. Export Import Bank has TINY staff yet made nearly 1 billion revenue last year for federal govt giving loans to small US manufacturers to export goods that big banks consider too risky. New CA majority leader (tea party) has made it his issue to deny them renewal in Sept despite approving for last two terms (and has been doing business since 1934). Repubs now jumping on board and when asked if jobs will be lost say "I don't know" Granted my son is on staff but it has made me realize what an asset this bank is. Have never been a fan of chamber of commerce but when the repubs are against them that says something. They will not give out your email address

the bank does a lot more than you think. How we compete in the world and we are not faring well. Did you read the NYtimes Oped? I heard of the salon post and it is the ONLY one negative besides the teabagger crap.

and the bank will survive. TPM says there is talk of the dems incorporating the bank into budget deal Sept 30th and there is talk of government shutdown re this.

looked up profile and you work for non profit for middle east education? Perhaps you should talk to my son at EX IM Bank with two masters on the middle east from London and Columbia U. Only check in here once a year and as usual greatly disappointing. DU hates when us oldies talk about the good old days.

He loves it. Just returned yesterday from global conference in Paris. Attempted to get global warming on agenda. Not successful but hopeful for next time. Turkey is his fave place on the globe.
