Just have to say this about the Hobby Lobby decision

This is a victory against women, especially since these same people who won't provide women with contraception are likely to provide men with Viagra and similar meds. Further, the reality is that our society is highly sexual, with 30% of all web traffic going to porn sites and scores of sites designed for one night stands. The fact that it was a narrow ruling that did not allow religious objections to such things as blood transfusions and vaccines supports the contention that this was an act of sexism by the Supreme Court. Those conservatives simply don't get it that reproductive health issues are different for women than for men. This outrageous decision is made even worse for just a couple days ago the court rejected buffer zones around abortion clinics, risking the emotional and physical safety of women seeking abortions.

These rulings by narrow minded men of another era are dangerous for all of us. But, maybe this ruling will re-energize the woman's movement, which so radically improved our nation since the 1970s. Let's hope this has a favorable effect on the upcoming elections.

It's going to take all D's plus swinging I's and some R's, especially with the gerrymandering in some districts.

8. So Hobby Lobby gets MUCH cheaper 'insurance prices' and they will raise the PAY for employees now?

At the minimum a woman will spend about 300-400 a year for the cheap birth control pills, other forms like IUD, 6 month implant the costs could be $300, $800 out of pocket, you pay then you get the IUD or the implant!

Hobby Lobby better raise those pay checks!!! because their insurance rate costs are going way down.

Most expect it to make a negligble difference. The plans that the government picks up that portion of don't add up to much.

11. I don't care about their prices, I'm never shopping at Hobby Lobby again. I meant their pay checks.

They need to pay their people more.

Because Hobby Lobby woman employees will have to pay out of pocket for contraceptives that everyone else in the USA with ACA insurance, doesn't have to pay for.

But they won't be "saving" any significant amount that can then be argued to belong in higher salaries.

Additionally, the woman employees almost certainly won't "have to pay out of pocket". It will very likely be covered the same way that the religious nonprofits are handled. They'll still have the coverage, but it will be paid for by the insurance company or the government, not the employer.

the message is clear - the Supreme Court thinks an employer's religion is more important than women - f*** them all ways to hell

.. voting their Catholic beliefs, the fact that is is "sexist" flows from that fact and only that fact. Of course voting for your pope instead of your country should be an impeachable offense.
