Just accept that Bernie's going to be in all through the primaries and that you have no reason to be trying to prevent that.

It has never been good for our party to have the nomination decided in the first month.

Let EVERYONE in the party have their say...that's the only way it's a fair contest.

Only a closely contested primary process can produce a passionately committed fall campaign.

5. Try not to get upset when she concedes to Bernie.

We don't know anything for sure at this point and nobody has any reason to be heavy-handed. There's no rush to end the nomination contest. It would be a tragedy if it were over again before New York and California got to vote...there's never been any excuse for designing the primary schedule to leave the largest Democratic states with no say as to who gets nominated.

3. Isn't the object of the game to win the primaries

And do it as quickly as possible? This is politics. It's a blood sport.

Fairness and blood sports don't mix.

In fact, I wouldn't be saying that much. It makes Sanders look weak.

4. This isn't just about Bernie. And the REAL object of the game is to win the election.

Trying to end the contest before most people get to vote works against that...it creates unneeded hard feelings and makes it harder to pull the party together for victory.

So does preventing all open debate at the convention and pushing the delegates of whoever the frontrunner is to reject anything significant the other candidates have to offer on the issues when it comes to platform votes.

When we let it be a blood sport, when we have anyone saying "just accept the frontrunner and know your place", we end up throwing the race to the Republicans.

Far better to let the contest be high-minded and based on ideals, and to let it go on until every state has actually had a chance to vote.

It would guarantee us defeat if the race was actually over by March 1st, because that would take all the passion and energy out of the thing.

We won by nine million votes when we let it be that way in 2008.

I can't imagine a scenario where Sanders' agenda is locked out of the platform or even watered down. The power players aren't stupid.

And Sanders and Hillary are good friends. They are not that different in stances. But i agree completely about people feeling included they have to if this is going to work, regardless of who wins.

The object of the game is to get the best candidate for the general, by no means does everyone agree which candidate that might be.
