Very liberal voters prefer Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders

Last edited Tue Oct 6, 2015, 04:30 PM - Edit history (1)

October 06, 2015

<...>
The race is close with very liberal voters (Clinton gets 45% to 41% for Sanders), men (Clinton gets 35%, Sanders 28%, Biden 24%), and younger voters (Clinton and Sanders tie at 36). Clinton is dominant with seniors (51% to 23% for Biden and 15% for Sanders), African Americans (Clinton gets 51% to 30% for Biden and 13% for Sanders), and women (Clinton gets 48% to 22% for Sanders and 17% for Biden.)

I get it, some folks are still traumatized by 2008 or otherwise nursing random grudges or deep personal issues that have diddly to do with next years election. Still, the rational response would be "glad Sanders is in the mix, he is elevating the terms of the discussion"

a. Assumes he or she knows nothing of others plight, that if someone from another group tells them bananas are round like apples in their world, then bananas are round like apples in their world

b. Realizes capitalism is all but completely unworkable, that we must do everything in our power to take *for profit motives out of many areas of life - not all but many

c. Comes down on the side of rights for all unless said rights specifically deny others

d. Last thing a very liberal person would do is promote or support war, unless there was no other option...America has not had a NO OTHER option situation since WWII

That is for starters...

*for profit to me means shareholder and CEO profits that are obscene...profits that allow working people to make more and more money, great...profits that allow one person to make 700 times more than the people doing the actual work, not great.

It would be interesting if they asked people's positions on different policies and then asked them their preferences. Probably would see a lot of chickens voting for Col. Sanders as is usually the case.

Also, how much weight do you give to each question/answer and who would determine that? At that point there's too much input from the polling firm. That's probably why they use self-identification.

I'm sure polling firms might have considered this in the past, but perhaps it proved to be too difficult.

Maybe you should start your own polling firm considering the fact that you think they don't know what they're doing.

Although it is interesting that pollsters like PPP prove to be very accurate post election.
