Californias presidential primary isnt until June 7, but Bernie Sanders can feel confident about his chances in San Diego County. The 74-year-old Vermont senator has a commanding lead in a week-old online poll run by the county Democratic Party.
Out of the 627 total votes cast so far, Bernie Sanders is in the lead with 55 percent, followed by Hillary Clinton with 36 percent and potential candidate Joe Biden with 7 percent, the Blue View party newsletter said Thursday.
The remaining candidates garnered less than 1 percent each.

This is SAN DIEGO -- a conservative part of California. Here's a hint on how conservative: Both Darrel Issa and Duke Cunningham are from the San Diego area. Since Clinton is WAAAAYYYYY far to the right of Sanders, you would think they'd be leaning Clinton, but nope.

(22,271 posts)There have been Events now in Fresno, Visalia, Mariposa, Merced, Modesto and even Bakersfield! We just have to make sure that Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina don't screw it up for us. AGAIN. They seem to love their corporate candidates.

(146,192 posts)Want to vote in it? You can. It asks for a zip code, your name and email address, but that's not much of a bar to voting. Like all online polls, there's only self-selection of participants. Such polls are almost always inaccurate and useless in actually predicting anything.
Online polls are online polls. They're always subject to skewing by people encouraging like-minded people to participate. Always.
As long as you have a valid email address, you can vote in this one. Don't live in San Diego? Look up a zip code there. They won't be checking to see if your name and that zip code match, I guarantee. Even if they require a confirmation email response, that does not keep anyone from voting, as long as the email exists and you respond.
Like all online polls where participants self-select, this one is useless in providing any valid data.
You still have time to vote in this one, Bernie supporters. The link to the poll is in the article. How many will do just that? I don't know. Nobody ever knows.

(30,439 posts)It's not as conservative as you might think.
Also, the poll is an unscientific online poll which anybody can vote in. A DUer pointed that out upthread.
