If we want a revolution, we need to sacrifice!

And by "we," I actually mean "other people besides me." You see, like most hardcore Bernie supporters I'm a young(ish) straight white male with a good income. So when the GOP cuts Social Security, I don't really care. When they criminalize abortion, that's not my problem. When the deport millions of undocument immigrants, that doesn't include me. When they cut taxes on the rich, hey, more bonus money! Getting rid of Obamacare? I already had coverage before that, and I have no pre-existing conditions.

But I get it, there's really no difference between the Dems and the GOP. Might as well let the GOP take over. It's all about the revolution, after all. So c'mon GOP, hit me with all you got. I'm ready!

Show some guts, people. No complaining, it's all for a good cause. The revolution is coming!

Now, who's got my martini. I said Ketel One, dammit! How do you not have Ketel One!

Just sayin'....no one in the Sanders camp has clue one about how to make up huge polling deficits in states past NH. And fighting on the internet will not net you any real world votes. Neither will implying there's a huge conspiracy afoot to deny Bernie Sanders the nomination.

It's his to lose, and he only got into this originally to keep Hillary honest.

I'm a Bernie supporter. And I'd like to see him win the nomination and the WH. And if he gets the nomination, I'd expect and demand that every Democrat, whether they supported Clinton or O'Malley work their asses off to get him elected.

But if he doesn't get the nomination and Clinton does, I also expect and will demand that every Democrat support her. Why, because while Clinton might give me the reforms I want in the short run, as a long game, her election gets me closer to what I want than the election of a repub.

I've said it several times: if a repub is elected, CU is preserved and extended. Suppression of voting rights is extended and validated by the courts. A pathway to citizenship is put on hold for years, meaning a large number of immigrants don't get the vote.
All of those things means that we take a step backwards in using the power of the electorate to reverse things, possibly by a generation. On the other hand, if Clinton gets a chance to replace a repub on the Court, CU could be overturned and certainly limited. Voting rights can be protected and expanded. Immigrants could get the vote sooner rather than later. ANd all of those things will help get to where Bernie wants the country to get to, even if ends up not being the guy to take us there.

I have a good further sacrifice: As a 'secondary" wage earner, because of the way the tax code is structured and fewer and fewer benefits to offset its hit, right now I take home only about 30% less than a primary male wage earner making the same amount will.

I'm pretty sure if we get out of their way, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Speaker Paul Ryan (?) could and would improve on that 30%. After all, somebody's got to make up for additional tax cuts for the wealthy. Plus, since I'm still working instead of bringing my husband his martini after a hard day's fishing, obviously the incentive to keep me at home is not as high as the GOP feels it should be in a healthy, moral, family-oriented nation.

If anyone feels I need to sacrifice more, though, maybe I'll just claim PTSD from a lifetime of hits. BTW, how come no one bothered to accuse all us Corporatist Democrat women of Stockholm Syndrome? Is feckless stupidity supposed to be our normal state? I demand my right to equality of insulting!

with no corresponding plan for early childhood ed or K-12. By age 18, many poor kids are not in a position to qualify for college due to the gross inequities in K-12 schools and other hazards of growing up poor in America. Those who currently do not qualify for financial aid are the upper middle class, so it is they who will most benefit. His transaction fee includes taxation on union pension funds and teacher and public employee retirement funds, non-profit institutions that are among the biggest traders on Wall Street. They are taxed to ensure the children of the upper 10 percent don't have to suffer the horror of working 10 hours a week to contribute to their own education.

That plan benefits his support base, people in the upper 20 percent who falsely claim to be as exploited as the indigent and the working poor but who in fact have more than 99 percent of those on the planet and 80-98% of Americans.

Let me start with one Berniebro: me - I'm one of 5 kids brought up by a single mom. We were dirt poor and I worked my way through my education. My son, now out of school, had it a little easier because I had the fortune of good employment. I don't financially benefit in any way from what Bernie is proposing.

The OP twisted some demographic data into a bizarre smear, that's as disgusting as it is false. I get it, white males suck (unless they support Hillary), but most Bernie supporters, of all stripes, are about equality and are ready to make personal sacrifices to make this country a better place for everyone. Is it your contention that if Bernie dropped free college tuition all his white male supporters would abandon him?

Anyone who believes Bernie's motive for that proposal is to "give another freebie to millionaires" is a moron. BTW do you believe the europeans subsidize college to benefit the upper class?

Fuck this shit.

Unabashed Hillary bashers from earlier primaries are now gung-ho Hillary supporters who take any hint of criticism of Hillary personally.

Former freeper who announces that he's going to be working for Bernie (yeah, right), then later makes an OP that rubs Bernie supporters' faces in his unabashed "conversion" to Hillary.

FOX News regular who speaks out of both sides of his mouth but somehow gains an audience here.

I think I need a martini.
