Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders plans to start a robust television advertising campaign next month in Iowa and New Hampshire, two states where Hillary Rodham Clinton has been on the air since August, a senior strategist for Sanderss campaign said Wednesday.
(snip)
Tad Devine, a veteran Democratic consultant advising Sanders, said another factor is the head start Clinton got in communicating with voters on television in Iowa and New Hampshire.
Weve gone through two and a half months of unanswered paid media, Devine said. Theyve put up enough paid media to get someone elected governor or senator in those states.
Devine would not discuss the particulars of Sanderss planned ad campaign but said it is likely to start next month in Iowa and New Hampshire and that Sanders would be on the air not too long afterward in Nevada and South Carolina, two other states with early nominating contests.

Thus far the race in New Hampshire and Iowa have been competitive without Bernie even running any television ads.

(58,348 posts)we're sending him campaign donations?
The only thing that we object to, are superpacs, vast quantities of non-accountable money buying the election and in turn the government, we hate Citizens United, the ideal would be public funding of elections.
Also debates sponsored by more neutral Institutions such as the League of Women Voters, the corporate media and establishment political parties have too much of an inherent conflict of interest to be honest brokers.
Lastly, you can lead in a poll and it still be competitive especially this early in the race.
