Mom v. The House Republicans: Mom Wins Every Time

Who is planning the RNC's political strategy this campaign? They have orchestrated the caged match of the century. The millennium! In one corner it's a bunch of Republican dudes looking red faced and whiny. In the other, we have Mom. Not a hair out of place. Laser beam eyes fully charged. Cool, collected, always has a gracious smile for her friends, always willing to give the idiots an opportunity to vent and spew, never looking for a moment as if she is anything but Mom with a capital M.

Some folks like to compare another candidate's campaign to a famous film. Today, we are witnessing a film that someone ought to make. Call it "Mom Versus the Right Wing Conspiracy." This is the kind of mother we all wished that we had when Mom had to come to school to meet with the principle. This is the kind of Mom who would have put bullies in their place---and kept the moral high ground while doing it. This is the Mom that would have made the doctor give us pain medication when we broke our arm, "Because kids feel pain, too."

America loves baseball, Mom and apple pie. The House GOP's have already gone after baseball and Mom. Will they launch a witch hunt against apple pie next?
