Fireworks erupt between Clinton, Pubs at Benghazi hearing-"Clinton seems collected and in command."

Washington (CNN)The bitter political undercurrents surrounding the Benghazi attacks erupted Thursday with Democrats and Republicans feuding over the role of a special investigative panel while Hillary Clinton came under intense fire for her handling of the tragedy.

The panel's top Republican, Trey Gowdy, and Democrat, Elijah Cummings, began shouting and interrupting each other over what information the committee should release while Clinton sat silently in the witness chair, watching the heated exchange and nodding her agreement with Cummings.

The Democratic presidential front-runner -- who seemed collected and in command for the first phase of the hearing -- mounted a passionate defense of her response to the violence, telling the Republicans arrayed against her that she had lost more sleep over the deaths of four Americans in Libya than anyone else on the panel.

When they started all this, they thought they had Clinton on the run, that they would harass her until the people rejected her. Now they just add to her credibility every day they continue with this BENGHAZI! sham. Trey Gowdy should be removed from Congress for misusing taxpayer money in pursuit of purely political objectives. Then he should go to jail.

With this shameful partisan witch hunt that Gowdy (Ed Grimley's stupid brother) is providing proof positive what this band of GOP charlatans have been up to all along. It started with Boner (sp) followed by car thief/arsonist Issa and now this idiot Gowdy. If nothing else, they are proving that the GOP party isn't qualified to govern anything, unless you think deliberate obstruction and destruction of the governmental bodies is successful governing. Completely disgusting display and breathtaking arrogance and abuse of power. Thank God for Rep. Cummings, Smith and most of all Sec. Clinton.
