Keep punching Bernie, its looking like a rope-a-dope to me!

(28,270 posts)Nice try though, keep punching Bernie fans!
Fearless
(18,421 posts)The poll is still not "scientific".
workinclasszero
(28,270 posts)If it showed Bernie 40 points ahead in Iowa it would be "scientific".
Fearless
(18,421 posts)Either all polls have to be "scientific" regardless of outcome or it isn't a requirement. Which one is it?
mythology
(9,527 posts)Are there potential issues with their polling sample, it is still a scientific poll. It attempts to control for the most likely voters and the demographics of the expected electorate.
It's not unscientific because you don't like the outcome.
Fearless
(18,421 posts)Is EXACTLY why it isn't "scientific".

(5,204 posts)And the other 2 post-debate polls were only 4 points off from that, in both directions.
A+, B+ and, C+ rated pollsters in strong agreement beat an A- and a not rated pollster.

(3,649 posts)Even then, it might take another debate before there's much movement one way or the other.

(30,481 posts)I so dislike watching footage of Ali performing the rope a dope. Most all shots missed or were just glancing, but some came in really solid. My father would show me this footage when I was younger. He explained the strategy and I saw the strategy and beauty when at least one talented fighter was in the ring. Yet footage of what is one of the most solid strategies that really hasnt been duplicated to the same level bothers me to watch these days.
Don't get me wrong, it's spot on and I don't find it to be offensive.

(9,108 posts)I think there is a commonality within both parties for underdogs rising in the polls. It's in how they handle unexpected success.
We see total crazy from the GOP base along with Carson and Trump. Bernie wants to stay true to his promise, but I think his supporters are pushing him on this. And it could totally backfire.
"....Biden's out, Bernie's stuck in the polls, and we needed an excuse to go negative. This is the best we could come up with."

(28,270 posts)a banning, being called a pig which a Bernie packed jury was fine with, called a tool of wall street and a stooge of the oligarchy by Bernie fans.
So I'm taking a victory lap this morning, I deserve it like the few Hillary fans here that haven't been driven off yet deserve the hell out of it!
No apologies forthcoming sorry.

(99,710 posts)That is messed up, on so many levels...
workinclasszero
(28,270 posts)A Bernie jury didn't see anything wrong with it either.
But its all good. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now.
Go Hillary!

(30,481 posts)Except for going after republicans, Hillary hasn't really either. Don't let du fool you, this is one of the most polite primaries between democratic candidates I have ever seen. The media is going to move on to this narrative now as Joe made it final and there isn't a strong race. They could care less about reporting policy, what else do they have at this point.
