then why are people criticizing him for giving a great speech?

Why are people blaming Kerry instead of his handlers, Dems that sat on the sidelines, and unfair media playing field and SOS Blackwell of Ohio.

The Senator gives a great speech only to semi-chastise with "Where was this Kerry in 04?" or "finding spine 8 years too late."

IDU. Really don't.

They did that with Gore as well. "If this Gore had run, he would have won!" (Newsflash: He did.)

They were bound to say the same about Kerry. It's also why all the hateful Republicans can now say with a straight face how great Bill Clinton was and how Obama is no Bill Clinton, even though they did everything in their power to demonize him not just for his years in office, but as the guy who let 9/11 happen (WTF?).

When someone is done running for president, they always trot out the "If only he'd been like this ..." line.

Kerry was amazing. Everybody knows it. Frankly, I always thought he was. He gave some great speeches in 2004. My biggest takeaway last night was my reawakened rage at how this good man's record in the military was dragged through the mud and the media not only let it happen but encouraged it. That still breaks my heart. That he stood up there and once again proudly spoke of his brothers and sisters in arms? Brought me to tears.

Kerry delivered a great speech, but here he gets met with the same memes without ever putting the blame on the people that should have been doing the heavy lifting.

You know you gave an excellent smack down when folks like Tamar Braxton, Tami Roman, etc are retweeting lines from your speech!

Bravo, Senator Kerry. Keep moving forward, sir.
