Drudge's lame headline for Obama speech: "Franklin O. Roosevelt!"

combined with a photo mash-up of Obama and FDR - are we supposed to be insulted that he compares the current occupant of the Oval Office with a man considered by historians to be one of our nation's greatest president?

FDR's policies led to the U.S. prosperity of the following decades and built the middle class.

If the GOP wants to run against that, be my guest.

After all, it was because of FDR they had to set limits on the number of terms a president could serve.

So it's a pretty good comparison, even if Heir Drudge doesn't intend it to be.

We need to put an end to this.

You guys realize this is part of a wide reaching right-wing effort to distort liberal accomplishments and make our greatest leaders out to be monsters, right?

It's supposed to whip them up into a frothy anti-liberal mania. Too bad for them: it won't make any sense to the low information voters they are trying to reach.

Most people did back then; otherwise, he wouldn't have been reelected so many times.

But considering the majority of the people do know what a great president Roosevelt was, Drudge is just confirming how bankrupt the knuckle-draggers are with their talking points.
