The four themes from the GOP convention:

-Obama is evil
-Government is evil
-Taxes are evil
-Romney is a loser, vote for me in four years

has been trying to increase her information intake, to her credit, and called tonight and told me she did actually watch both conventions. i was surprised, as VMAs are much more her style.

She voted for McCain last time. when i asked her what she thought, she said "well, I'm not sure who I'm voting for but...the democrats made me cry! I don't know, they sure were more uplifting and positive!"

then...she talked about how much she enjoyed Clinton!

my mother would have a heart attack. and blame me, lol

Rmoney and Ryan "forgot" to mention the military serving in Afghanistan. Ann Rmoney gave a horrid speech; which was still better than the one given by her husband. The RNC convention was attended by the sort of diverse population one sees at a Klan rally. Chris Christie made the keynote address and basically announced his 2016 candidacy. Yes, I say it looks worse in restrospect.

Adelson and the Kochs will have to chip in an extra $400 million just to get back to zero.

Sure we had a disagreement over the Israel thing but we didn't start booing Puerto Rico when it happened. And we sure didn't run to the blogs and pledge to never again vote for the party!

AND there were no racist comments like the 2 assholes throwing peanuts or the 1 asshole and his wife who went to Disney World and complained about a Mexican American in the USA pavilion (see thinkprogress.org for details on that)!
