Greatness.....

Historically we hear and read of great leaders, presidents and people. Listening to President Obama tonight I was struck by the fact that we are living, hearing and experiencing a person of greatness. Our children's children will be reading and hearing about this man that we have the privilege of experiencing first hand today.

I really don't know if I'm expressing myself quite the way I feel - but when I think of people like Abe Lincoln, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Martin Luther King, John F. Kennedy - Barack Obama will rank right up there with the best of them.

I consider myself fortunate to have met the man in D.C. and shake his hand when he was a Senator from Illinois. I consider myself lucky to be able to vote for him and celebrate his victory in Grant Park on the night he was elected. I now consider myself fortunate to be able to vote for him again and re-elect him.

It is an honor to be tied to his greatness in this fashion.
