I think Obama believes he's going to win...

That was a winner's speech. It wasn't desperate or forced - it was confident and relaxed. He knows. He knows he's close to locking this one up and if Obama knows that, and feels good about his chances, then I feel good and I'm ready to push forward to the final days of this election. I'm fired up and ready to go!

6. Obama IS a true optimist

And i think that's what gets him through all the hate sent his way by the other side. Truly i think that nastiness is a mixture of racism and just pure envy. He remains strong and firm in his beliefs through all their SHIT and that just pisses 'em off all the more. OBAMA2012!

11. What is werid about the number is -- early this afternoon ...

one cable news station had the number and was reporting what the number was, and the other stations were saying all day that everyone would have to wait until Friday to find out what the number was.

I think some stations just didn't want to say what the number was so that they could make folks think that the number would be a bad one!

Government will release the actual numbers tomorrow. Obama knew the numbers going into his speech because he was given an update at 5 PM.

When you submit yourself to higher principles (see Romans 8) you fear not because you have the wind of a power, the power of your principles, at your back.

7. I thought it was a very humbling speech. He didn't hype. He pretty much laid it on the line,

saying this is the situation we are in. This is who I am, and what I believe and I believe in you. Our accomplishments, we did together.
And he compared his ideals to the negative, whining gopers.

It was smooth, down to earth, and honest.

13. I believe he has no respect for Romney or Ryan.

I believe he thinks, as I do, that Romney is a bad candidate, maybe the worst presidential candidate in many decades.

16. I think he's a realist

I believe he would win if the deck was stacked fairly. It can't be a given that President Obama will be win. That's why this election is critical that EVERYONE vote. All the hoorays, excited people, increase in registered voters is for naught if people don't get off their duff and go VOTE.
We can't be complacent and assume President Obama will win. It takes votes. With voter suppression, false ads paid for by the millions of dollars from the rich, this time votes matter BIG. The last poll I saw was of the registered voters, 62% of Republicans say they will go vote while 56% of Democrats say they will go vote.

You heard it all through the DNC speeches, GO VOTE, Democrat all down the ticket - because local elections for Congress and Senate are critical also. We have to get the Congress back and protect the Senate

I was very happy that President Clinton will be out there campaigning in the swing states over the next two months. I think he will be a tremendous asset

17. He's right. He will win the election. But it's no guarantee he'll remain in office.

Al Gore won. John Kerry won. Neither took office.

Obama took office in January 2009 because he won DECISIVELY in 2008. To avoid more Republican electoral fraud, Obama needs convincing wins in States like Wisconsin, Ohio, and others where the Republican-run state apparatus has declared war on his presidency. THEN he will not only have won the election, but his second term as well.
