So he goes to Steve King's district in NW Iowa to deliver a speech, because there are apparently a few cows in North America who want to hear what the dude has to say. So in order to get a decent crowed, they give away foam mitts to the first 500 people who arrive and bus in children from local religious schools.
But wait for it -- according to the story:
Students said the event was mandatory for juniors and seniors
Can your imagine the puddles of urine that would be freely flowing on the studio floor at Fox News if Obama held a rally were students were REQUIRED to attend? Herded on to cattle cars (OK, a school bus) and forced against their will to attend a political rally? Sweet Jeeezus! It's the end of Freedom In America (tm)

Edit: But on the bright side, the foam mitts were "Limited Edition" so hang on to those, kids. They might be valuable some day. And if Romney's elected, you might be trading it for dialysis in your old age.

(13,461 posts)I had to put up with people talking about keeping their kids home from school the day the President gave that address to school children nationally. Disgusting. Of course this is just admitting that RELIGIOUS means REPUBLICAN in these religious schools. Are they tax exempt religious institutions? I wonder...............................

(13,992 posts)Jeebus! Don't let your children hear a speech in school about....um....education. That would be awful!

(15,189 posts)The speech the President gave, and some schools showed it. Saying it was indoctrinating the children. Of course this is worse. Taking kids off school grounds, and telling them they HAVE to go is insane. As a parent, I would be outraged. I would charge him with kidnapping if I had no say in the matter. And if not kidnapping, I would expect payment for using my child as his prop.

(19,458 posts)it's hilarious... the dude is so fucking unpopular that he has to push for speeches at religious colleges, and taking students from religious jr, and sr. highs.
What's wrong asshole? Afraid that you couldn't draw more than 400 people at a public college???
I see that the word today from the GOP fax is "Disappointing." Do the MSM realize that we noticed when ALL of their pundits use that same word today?? it's so obvious.
