Romney: left troops out because you don't do a "laundry list" and you include what's "important"

In his own words, "When you give a speech you don't go through a laundry list, you talk about the things you think are important."

Every time I think I can't hate him more than I do, he manages to top himself. My dog, even Caribou Barbie is smarter than he is.

This video needs to go viral.

the subject. He knows that bringing it up will take him out of his comfort zone when the questions come. He's hoping to hammer Obama on the economy alone.

That's why the troops aren't important. They aren't polling as high.

Those who counter protested in favor of Vietnam in my experience tended to be blustering blow hards in short they reminded of the Romney types. (Definition Romney types holding down someone cutting off their hair, walking blind guy into wall, impersonating law enforcement). Of course not knowing Mitt in the day substitute another name similar with anti social behavior.

I found before the age of 18 if you bust one of these types in the mouth they shut up. Note the following exchange between a recent draftee and chickenhawk in 1967. "Them GD hippies need to be made to go to Vietnam" (blow hard). " When are you going to enlist sounds to me you want to go" (draftee). "Only idiots get drafted and never volunteer go to the National Guard if you have to" (blow hard). Ker pow the blow hard got busted in the mouth and shut up.

If someone had done that for Mitt Romney when he was 18 he might be better person for it.

and he's sheltered by his rich masters now. Still a bully who has no idea what it's like to be the great unwashed, nor does he care. I'll enjoy watching him lose the election and cry about it later.

He also defied the claim and said he gave the military mention in his acceptance speech. He doesn't understand the fact that the military is only an institution. Real respect is recognizing the "people in the military". He is shameful

The only kind of laundry he knows about is the money kind of laundry. But, seriously ok that was serious, I think he has done some of that. Anyway, back on topic. Mitt just admitted he doesn't think the troops are important. But, then we already knew that.

1. I didn't mention them because, gosh, you can't mention everything.

2. I did mention them, but used different words.

I've seen little kids do this sort of "answer in the alternative" thing, but it is really special to see an adult do it so un-self consciously.

He's basically absconding on some of the most central and longest held obligations of leaders of countries. This really undercuts his fitness to be president.

Fri Sep 7, 2012, 08:21 PM
Sep 2012

"What is "important" to Romney is that defense contractors continue to receive money from our government.

"And I sit here, as my son serves in the United States Marines, just shaking.

"Our son's and daughter's who are serving deserve better than to be told they are not important, they deserve respect and the highest level of gratitude for their service, for putting their lives on the line, every day....

"...How DARE Romney even utter the words he uttered today. He has never served in our military, neither have his sons. He has never known the sacrifice or what it means to either serve or be a parent of a child who serves, and he will never know the heart ache, the worry, the tears, the pride, the part of you that is missing while your child serves hundreds or thousands of miles away."

and a few others have been added. The one by VetWife has his 'laundry list'

Laundry List for Mitt and his way of thinking.
Tax cuts for my friends at Wall Street
Lie about anything of real progress in America
Cheat on taxes (make it sound fair)
Lie about being a man of faith
Cut any and all safety nets
Pretend to care about the middle class
Make outsourcing easier
De regulate all workings of investments and the SEC
Get the minimum wage down as much as possible
Voucher care...no medicare
JOBS..for people overseas
Make life so miserable for most they self deport
Cut 11 billion dollars from healthcare for those who give us a reason to make money through private no bid contracts wherever there is conflict.
Humiliate the poor, disabled, less fortunate, uneducated and disrespect those
who served in prior conflicts that helps with making profit for war.
Use Dick Cheney, John Bolton as role models.
ADD to the deficit via Ryan's budget.
Be loyal only to those who have assets, portfolios, and wealth

I remain completely amazed that so many veterans will vote for this guy....and women! There has to be a breaking point. Is it the next lie? Is it the next flip-flop? The next non specific answer to any policy matter? Man, I'm. Just. Speechless.
