One thing I've noticed looking at the convention speeches on Youtube...

Whether it's ABC or CSPAN - Mitt Romney's & Ann Romney's speeches are overwhelmingly disliked. What I mean, is that there are far more dislikes than likes for each speech.

Mitt's speech on CSPAN's channel has 2,855 likes and 3,784 dislikes compared to Obama's on the channel that has 1,539 likes to 163 dislikes.

On ABCNews' channel, Romney's speech has 2,029 likes and 4,802 dislikes. Obama's has 4,656 likes to 774 dislikes.

It's not much better for the spouses, either.

On CNN's channel, Ann's speech has 230 likes to 1,012 dislikes. Michelle's has 181 likes and 19 dislikes.

Though not on CNN's channel, on the Washington Post's page, her (Michelle's) speech has 17,287 likes to 805 dislikes.

Even Ann Romney's speech on a GOP channel (gopconvention2012), 2,503 like it and 3,673 dislike it.

That's amazing. I know YT isn't an exact science and you've got a world watching these videos and rating 'em. But still, hardly any positives from any video and that surprises the hell out of me. I would have expected at least Ann Romney, as a spouse, to pull in some numbers. To put it into perspective, Sarah Palin's speech on the CSPAN Channel from four years ago has 2,635 likes to 1,713 dislikes.

McCain's is about as bad as Romney's. But damaging stuff. People do not like the Romneys.

One reason: a lot of GOPers are old and not Youtube savvy. Mayberry Machiavelli Sep 2012 #2

About 5% of what is posted in GD is discussion of Fox, Limbaugh and other propaganda catapults. The percentage is much lower for the site that shall not be named -- you won't see threads like "TDS said something outrageous last night" or any echos like 'their guy said ___blank___ about our guy'

I had a conversation the other day with a lady that is on the right. We started talking about the conventions. I watched both. She started going off on how good the RNC was (I almost puked). I then asked if she watched the DNC. She said no, she said she couldn't do it because she thought she would throw up. These one sided, right wing idiots are so stuck on themselves, it really makes me sick.

I was brought up to vote for the person I thought was the best. OK, how does one determine this? You MUST see both sides of the story, right? What ever happened to the simple process of "gather your facts", "analyze your facts", "make a decision"? The right apparently does not use this common sense rule. You can't make a decision without all the facts!!!!

The RNC was extremely boring, all about me, me me, and lies, lies, lies. They couldn't even talk with enthusiasm. All they did was stir up the pot with their lies. I'm sure people on the right loved it, as they actually believe it. The DNC, on the other hand was filled with humor, calling out their lies, truth, and FACTS. You could tell their hearts were into it. No comparison. Therefore I don't doubt the numbers above.

I also posted to a forum that Michelle, Pres Obama, and Clinton ALL beat Mitt and Ann on number of views on that first couple of clips of the speeches that came up on YouTube. I think Pres. Obama was at almost 3 million. Romney was not even 300,000.
