If Rmoney were ahead by 5 pts. how would the media be reacting? The spin is making me dizzy

and definitely pissed off. The attempts to prop this guy up are really in your face pandering to the point they're not even trying to hide their bias anymore. We definitely need to flood the tv stations with the displeasure we are feeling about this. "Romney is a sure winner with this 5 point lead" and on and on would be the meme if the numbers were reversed, I have no doubt.

but since it is Obama that is ahead, as Andrea Mitchell put it......Obama takes a "narrow" lead.....

or as Larry Sabato puts it, "The bounce will disappear in two weeks!"

So obvious!

4. Every time they say Obama got a "small" bounce, they follow it by saying it won't

last very long due to the "terrible job numbers," and/or that Romney will have a chance to come back during the debates.

They also minimize the fact that Obama's campaign raised more money this month than Romney (even though the numbers don't include the DNC since that happened in September).

And come back in November. I wouldn't worry about a thing. They self destruct on a daily basis.

they have been propping up Romney/the Rs for over a year now and doing their best to downplay President Obama as much as they can.

That things are breaking now the way they appear to be breaking is an indictment of just how putrid Romney and the Rs are.

They have to be THIS bad, like 06/08, for the Ds to get past the media vs the CONTRIVED tea party crape the media was all breathless about and generated the surge to take the House in 10 ...

Just a darn shame, because this country would be in a LOT better place if they just called politics straight.

Where before I'd get angry at the obvious bias, it doesn't bother me for some strange reason. It's as if they've pushed the envelope too far and no one is listening anymore. Let them bloviate all they want. It actually helps Obama if they pretend the race is close, brings out the voters.
