Johnson Accuses Romney Of Attempting To Keep Him Off November’s Ballots

Libertarian Party presidential nominee and former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson has for the first time publicly acknowledged attempts at keeping him of the ballots in November’s presidential election.

In an interview with The Daily Beast, Gov. Johnson accused the Republican Party and his rival, Gov. Mitt Romney, of using litigation to prevent his name from appearing on the ballots in November.

“The Republicans are behind this… Republican lawyers in suits getting well paid are taking on our volunteer lawyers over the most obscure objections you’ve ever heard. I don’t get it. Mitt Romney should have nothing to fear from me. But apparently he does, since they are spending a lot of resources trying to keep me off the ballot. I have no knowledge of Barack Obama spending any money to do anything to me. It’s completely the Republicans.”

That is why Rmoney is making every effort to suppress the choice.

It is going to a spectacular failure.

It will also mean the end of the two-party system as we need more parties to represent our ideals.

Indeed, but to be honest, I'm a little nervous about Johnson too.

A PPP poll in July shows him polling at 13% in New Mexico.
In a straight match-up with Mittens, the President leads 49-44.
But with Johnson on the ticket, it's 42-38 - a seven point drop.

If voters there are aware of Willard's legal maneuvers against Johnson, he might lose more votes to Johnson. Bummer.

5. Exactly.

For Johnson to go public with this and permanently severe his ties with the GOP means he's had enough.
Let's hope more Libertarians, and some of the so-called "Romney Democrats", are aware of this form of, dare I say, voter suppression.

In a true democracy everyone should be encouraged to vote and many people on the ballots to let the people vote their voice
