http://www.democraticunderground.com/10022567780this is a thread in GD. i thought it interesting the direction it was going. a man states he does not want his ass grabbed. a couple men suggest, what man would complain about that. it is pretty well known that men will grab a womens ass, and women do not like it, yet men do it anyway.
so, men with privilege and entitlement feel they have the right to grab a womans ass, even though he knows it is wrong.
men are project to be all that in sexuality; so, grabbing a mans ass is welcome. why wouldnt a woman learn that men "like it" when they listen to men say how nifty it is.
this is one of my issues. this societal conditioning we give to men when it is not a reality. if a man is honest, without thinking they have to cheer their ass being grabbed by a woman, are they really going to be all for it or irritated and insulted?
i would say most men would be pissed. but, really, that is just a guess.
my 5 yr old son was kissed by a girl. he was totally outraged. and ya, i took his outrage seriously. he had every right. no, i did not play the game that he had to "pretend" like it was something he inherently wanted. he didnt. he was pissed.... to this day, at 15, i will still say something, or he will. he was so offended.
i am not seeing gender difference here. yet, as a society, we certainly created a gender difference.

(56,912 posts)how hard is that to understand. blindsided is blindsided no matter physically or psychologically. actually to be physically blindsided is to also be psychologically blindsided and thus, a two-pronged attack.

(110,159 posts)they have going on. but, listening to the first man say no thank you. and the conversation going forward, it had me think about every man i know. and no... i do not think they would be all into a woman grabbing on their body parts.

(56,912 posts)surprise attack ... I am sure there are those individuals out there that ... are, outside the norm. I am sure people would handle this attack differently according to the individual and who it is that is the attacker...
don't like using the word attack ... perhaps affront ...meh. not arguing semantics.

(6,036 posts)Registering as a sex offender for life. Prosecution seems to be rare, but the consequences are steep.
Maybe I just live in a bubble. I can't imagine normal men with careers etc. doing something like that. Talk about killing job prospects etc.

(998 posts)from some regarding sexual assault on women is that...predictable. Not alarming, not maddening, just predictable.
