When Women Refuse: Website collects examples of violent attacks against women who rejected men
The When Women Refuse Tumblr blog, which was shared in the #YesAllWomen Twitter hashtag, was created in the wake of Elliot Rodger's killing spree in Santa Barbara, Calif. It curates news articles about what happened to women who turned down the sexual advances of men.

...When Women Refuse, which was started by feminist activist and Lux Digital Co-founder Deanna Zandt, contains a growing collection of links to articles that show the terrifying experiences of women around the world...

...When Women Refuse highlights numerous cases of men beating — sometimes fatally — women who turn them down.

The submissions also include an article on a South Carolina man hurling a 12-pound bowling ball at a woman’s head because she refused to let him buy her drinks and one about a British man who smashed a glass bottle on a clubgoer’s head because she didn’t want to dance with him.

And then there was the 16-year-old Connecticut girl whose friends say she was stabbed to death with a kitchen knife in April because she refused to go to junior prom with a fellow student.
