NO ‘SLUTS’, NO ‘BITCHES’, NO ‘PRUDES’, JUST WOMEN.

We are not your virgin/whore dichotomy fantasy. We are not sex objects. We do not exist to serve. We do not exist to please. We do not exist to obey. We do not exist to be mastered. We are not bits and pieces and parts to be fetishized. Our pain is not sexy. Our oppression is not a kink. Our subjugation is not a joke. Violence against us is not something to be played with, it is not something to destigmatize, it is not something to sexualize. It is to be condemned and criticized.

Yesterday, I was talking to a group of 5th grade boys and learned the new term that the very young are using to characterize other children as being solely defined by their sexuality: Thot. This is the new word, now. It's an acronym for "That h** over there."

I wanted to cry when I heard it.
