Boy Dies of Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound at Boy Scout Camp: SDPD

A boy has died after shooting himself in the head Monday at a Boy Scout camp in San Diego, officials confirmed.

The 11-year-old shot himself in the head at the camp on Fiesta Island in the middle of Mission Bay, a San Diego police crisis intervention officer told NBC 7. She did not have details on when or where the shooting took place.

The boy was alive as of 7:49 a.m., police said. Officials also said they had secured the firearm involved but would not say where the gun was found. Despite earlier reports that the child was taken to a nearby hospital, a spokesperson for San Diego Fire Rescue said the child was pronounced dead at the camp.

Investigators have blocked off the entrance to the camp and told NBC 7 they are working the scene and will have more details once they're done.

at a Boy Scout Camp is important enough to warrant carrying nationally, and includes a statement from BSA National Headquarters, this is a DU opinion:

"Although in the NYTimes, it is an AP story and not 'important news of national interest'"

on DU, the 30,000 gun deaths a year in this country are statistically unimportant, and not worth mentioning. It's just the price we all must pay for Freedom, Liberty, and the American Way.

from some hosts of LBN. That is what makes DU not work. Actually, it sound like the kind of logic coming from 5 of the justices of the Supreme Court, Tainted and biased.

It doesn't make me wonder anything. Blocking it on LBN is too blatant, illogical and loaded with straw.

of DU has purposefully saturated the Host and MIRT positions in order to spread their propaganda, and to control the discussion. This Group is about the only place where they can't spout their absolutist right-wing bullshit, and it drives them crazy.
