My son got a job, a really great job!

He graduates from college in May and his new job awaits him in June. It's the dream job with a great starting salary and benefits and he and we! are over the moon! Such an incredible relief, all the financial struggle was worth it.

We are so beyond broke right now we can't do much, will go to see him graduate and buy him dinner if we can afford it.

So many of the recent grads we know are working unpaid internships and waitressing or some such. He chose a great major and his skills are much in demand. He is a lucky fellow.

He is a lovely, hardworking kid and he has earned this. And we were overdue for good news, it has been a rough couple of years here on the homefront.

Did he happen to get a degree in Statistics? I work in that department at UC and almost all our students already have jobs by the time they graduate. Everything uses statistics!

Congratulations for the whole family for not giving up on College!
