(659 posts)Put my vote in Sanders.
And surprise surprise, I'm a Black voter and other black voters I know are pro Sanders. Don't let them fool ya.

(659 posts)I didn't think he really had a shot here...but he's making this a REAL battle. Most people I know who were voting Bernie were like "I'm voting but I don't think he would win."

(12,704 posts)the political opinion of Detroiters?
DLnyc
(2,479 posts)Apparently Detroit cast 163,000 votes in the 2008 primary, so I think that will be important to see how they have voted.
Still, it's already a very good showing across the state for Bernie!
My polling precinct (Within Detroit) had a very solid showing.
No idea how things will go once Wayne county is counted. Clinton certainly seems to have the Black religious vote... so she may ends up the top runner in the county. But we shall see!
This will be a huuuuuge upset if Sanders pulls this out?
DLnyc
(2,479 posts)Up to 9 (out of 999) Detroit precincts in, Bernie still ahead 895 to 813!
DLnyc
(2,479 posts)Does that sound reasonable?
Have a look at the map on the link you posted. Roll over the greens and look at the margins!

(2,479 posts)Could be a good evening for Bernie!
Now up to 5.9% reporting in Wayne County, Bernie up 7308 to Hill's 6035
If that trend holds, could be yuuuuuge!!!

(659 posts)Sanders is starting to pull away big now...
I'm thinking Detroit pulled out big for Sanders!
Basement Beat
(659 posts)Simple as that. That will be HUGE for his campaign.

The count was 55% Hillary and 40% "uncommitted", which I guess means like 40% for Obama ? ? ?
Hillary got 34.5 delegates, Obama got 29.5
