Bernie Sanders

Polls have Sanders down 30, but the polls showed a similar deficit in Michigan. Following what was seen as a terrible debate, and 16 anti-Sanders articles in the WaPo, he won MI.
I'm in Florida, and I don't think he'll win here. So much of the vote is already in (I cast my ballot last week). But he could pull off another improbable upset in OH.

(22,000 posts)Winning Ohio is simply not enough. He needs to be running the delegate count up in his favor by winning OH, FL, and doing well in Missouri. He can win this, but he has to turn the delegate tide against Clinton quickly.

(3,017 posts)I thought Bernie crushed her and the online polls had anywhere from 80% to 95% saying that Bernie won. I know the internet skews heavily toward Bernie, but the pretend "ghetto" flap was David Brock straight out of Karl Rove's playbook. The debate incident they were talking about tonight was Hillary's lie about Bernie being against the auto bailout.

(75,480 posts)He will appeal to them for the same reason he appealed to Michiganders. They are mostly working class too, who have had their futures taken from them by greed. Also, they will see he can win and they can vote for the person they like instead of the person they have been told can win. The only thing that will screw this up are election shenanigans.

(11,546 posts)since it's a closed primary. So many of his supporters are young and independents. Also Florida has a large retirement base.
I am hoping that Ohio is more like Michigan and maybe Missouri will surprise us?? Crossed fingers.

(2,379 posts)Much of that retirement base is originally from the Northeastern states. He may not win, but I think it may be closer than people think.
