The texts I received from the Sanders campaign in the last 2 days. (please read)

This is not counting phone calls to both my cell phone and my land line.

I am typing them out but they are as close as I can make them without giving out my address. I only responded to the first one and am including that (although the emote is different). I am doing this to point out what I believe was a brilliant way to GOTV.

I notice the volunteer told you not to wear any Bernie swag.

Should I not wear my Bernie shirt?

Why are they advising this?

Which isn't allowed at the polls. I got turned away in '08 for an Obama T-shirt, had to go home and change (Lucky me, not a big distance to the polls)

Just wear everyday stuff.

We are not allowed to wear items with candidates names or logos on it inside the polling location.

It depends on where you live so I don't know how to answer if you should wear it or not. Have you ever seen people at your polling location in shirts and/or hats that have candidates names on it?

Anyways, I would ask someone else who lives near you about wearing your shirt. If you are not sure then maybe just play it safe.

And maybe a post in the group, reminding people to beware of wearing their Bernie gear, buttons, stickers, etc. to their polls...why risk getting turned away.
