That's a ticket everyone can support. I can see MOM as a massively effective attack dog!

(2,334 posts)Maybe a governor or someone who holds office at a national level would be a better choice? I do think she would be a great cabinet choice. She's super! Love how she defies the party machine!!

(10,622 posts)I would like Warren as well, but, I believe she is EXTREMELY valuable where she is; nonetheless, I would take that loss if she decided, and was chosen to run as VP.
I like MOM, but I worry too much about his DLC past ties (not to mention his broken window tough on crime curse from the past) and fear a reversal of stated positions if he were to become POTUS.

Nina Turner's from Ohio, but hasn't had enough experience to sit in the Oval.
Or from a large state more generally
Texas - too bad Castro supporting Clinton
Cali ?

(31,935 posts)he's far too conservative. And he sucks the charisma out of a room the way Kerry did.

(45,251 posts)When the time comes, I am sure the campaign will do just fine. It's doing great in this primary, especially considering everything that has been stacked against it.

I like O'Malley just fine, but he's a white man, which doesn't necessarily help Bernie demographically. And his answer on Snowden I didn't like. Also, he did endorse Clinton over Obama knowing that she voted for IRW while Obama did not.

(8,812 posts)But I'm somewhat wary of his DLC past.
Also, I'm not sure America needs two East Coast white guys. How about Nina Turner or Kamala Harris (although that would mess up the Senate race) or Keith Ellison?
I'd love to see Warren as his running mate, but the regional thing concerns me with her, too.

She would be a good VP for Hillary though.

(4,775 posts)He talks a good game, slick and well presented, has a history with Harold Ford/DLC positions, and I have always (mostly) privately considered him to be another phony corporatist.
Plenty of better options.
Warren, if she would do it. A woman would be great, we've never had a female VP and we need Hillary's supporters. I don't know if Warren would want VP.
If not, how about Raul Grijalva? He co-founded the progressive caucus with Bernie, and being latino would be a positive, good on the issues too.
Keith Ellison? A muslim and a jew, that would be interesting to say the least. Keith is excellent.
Nina Turner?
If I were Bernie I would worry about assassination, and would pick a VP who the establishment is even more distrustful of. For what it's worth.

BERNIE won Dearborn, MI last night, which has a huge Muslim population! Isn't that incredible? What a message to send to the MIDDLE EAST and TRUMP VOTERS.

(2,052 posts)but want Bernie to pick someone devoted to the ideas he espouses. A Nina, a Keith, a Tulsi. They know the message. I don't think it serves the cause to bring someone who was late to the party on board.

(1,021 posts)This would be a disaster. I get that a lot of people like MO'M, but many don't, and find him to be really inauthentic, overly-scripted/actor-like, and even irritating. Also, his polling and results were pretty bad in the primary.
He will want, I suspect, a woman on the ticket. It's possible that it won't be (maybe someone like Ellison instead), but I think there is good reason to imagine that his running mate would be a woman. Gabbard makes a lot of sense right now, even if I'm not wild about that. Maybe Turner. Probably not Warren. LaDuke is a very distant, outside possibility, but still something I'd welcome.
