I guess we're not DEMOCRATS

http://www.democraticunderground.com/110768156

From the constant red baiter in the Hillary group

Bernie Sanders is a "new flavor" for young people and Indies. Hillary wins big with DEMOCRATS.
What happened in MI, where Bernie won by 1.7 points in this open primary, was that Indies and young people who are responding to a BROAD and VAGUE message about the evils of Wall Street and an offer of free college tuition came out to vote in large numbers. Hillary won DEMOCRATS. Bernie is a new flavor and a lightening rod for anger and frustration at Washington and wanting big things that aren't going to appear anytime soon, like free tuition and Medicare for all. The Bernie supporters are motivated, and we have to give them that.

So what happened in MI was under-polled Indies and young people came out to vote and swayed it to Bernie by less than two points.
It is also very possible that some R's voted for Bernie, and some Hillary supporters stayed home thinking from polls that she was going to win easily.

What Hillary needs to do is to keep up the strong economic message and the message that she is the most prepared to beat The Trump and serve in the office of President. The jobs message is key. She needs to tout and explain her economic plan very well.

1. Apparently some people think the Democratic party should nominate the candidate with less appeal...

Even if Hillary wins, she loses and so do we as a people. She won't win the GE. We will keep pushing back and doing our best to elect honest people to office.

then that Indy's, that young person's, that Republican's vote counts JUST AS MUCH as a TRUE BLUE Democrat's vote. So that person in the Hillary group will just have to deal with it!

i want to ask some posters how old they are...only because there is a certain point where their age might mean they have no idea what core Democratic Party principles are all about...they've only known the DLC/TW party....

maybe they THINK they know all about our history, but it is obvious they either don't know or choose to reject the fundamental Democratic Party values and embrace the rightward direction the leadership has guided the party since the mid-80s...

current party leadership is a far cry from the FDR, Truman, JFK, RFK, LBJ, McGovern, Carter Democratic Party...but THAT Democratic Party is still alive...and kicking

can keep going with the same losing policies and rhetoric. The working people of this country are tired are being given the shaft & they are particularly tired of the Clintons and their "free trade".

Last night was a turning point. People have decided they have had enough.

A whole lot fewer Dems after the primaries, too. DWS/DNC/DLC can take the credit for reducing the size of the Democratic Party base with their collusion and scorched earth campaign. I could give 2 figs about "The Party". It left me in 1992.
