Not saying it's what Bernie should do, but it's cute.

(7,300 posts)Sorry but that's great way to piss people off that have lost loved ones while serving. I would not support this for anybody but especially for a politician that never sacrificed to the degree our military families do. And before you ask, imaginary sniper fire doesn't count either!

(28,940 posts)Something like that would anger us. We don't like faux; nether does Sanders.
"....imaginary sniper fire doesn't count either!"
Nether does pretending a desire to enlist.
And it would anger me, too. I'd prefer he get his own, earned title of President. The military should not be a tool to be used by politicians to glorify them or lend them credibility.
CinC ain't a shabby handle.
Bush using the troops as wall paper used to do a number on my blood pressure. His strut across the deck of USS Lincoln in a flight suit (a uniform btw) just about blew off the top of my skull.
Me and my friends would be hanging out at the house and he'd come on with that military back drop and all eyes would turn to me. They would just wait for the impending explosion of expletives that would soon be flowing from my mouth and they were never disappointed! I hate that fucker.
