phantom power

Sanders has accomplished ALL THIS with every pundit ignoring him or claiming he can't win.

As a thought experiment, can you imagine how different this race would be if political reporters, pundits, bloggers, etc, said "Sanders could win" ?

Even now, the narrative is still more like "Wow, Sanders is exceeding my expectations! But still, sadly, he can't win"

If there were a significant amount of Sanders-related coverage that framed him as real competition, he'd be doing even better than he is already.

are not listening to MSM. They are not watching their ads. They have not figured out the "inter tubes thing" yet.

Bernie did an AMA on Reddit back in December 2013. They were trying to draft him back then. MSM is too out of touch with the people now and the same with the pundits and the party leaders.

Not voting for the USAPatriot Act was one of the better votes that I've ever cast. In my view, the NSA is out of control and is very clearly acting in an unconstitutional manner. Terrorism remains a serious issue and we must do all that we can to protect the American people, but we don't have to do it through a massive invasion of privacy rights or undermining the constitutional rights of the American people. I am going to be working as hard as I can to pass the strongest legislation possible to end the abuses of the NSA and other intelligence agencies. If we are a "free country," then we cannot have the U.S. government, or for that matter the private sector, invading the privacy rights or our citizens.

Join us over in /r/SandersForPresident. It's only a few weeks old, but we're deadset on getting a true progressive liberal elected President.
EDIT: It's been brought to my attention that, apparently, I'm a total shill sock-puppet for Senator Sanders. This is a very very false claim. My normal account has personally identifying information, and I didn't want it to be tied to my role as moderator.

4. And look, here is the perfect textbook example of what I'm talking about:
Wed Mar 9, 2016, 12:55 PM
Mar 2016

First, here's an excerpt:

1. Clinton is not on track to win the nomination outright without the help of superdelegates. On current trends, she's going to come up about 100 votes short (2,284 out of the 2,382 needed).
2. She’s unlikely to lose her pledged delegate advantage at any point, so a mass defection of superdelegates simply isn’t going to happen barring some scandal or health scare.
3. Sanders cannot put much of a dent in her lead by winning narrow victories even in big important states like Ohio, Illinois and Wisconsin.
4. Yet, Sanders should remain mathematically alive all the way to the convention.
5. Based on Chris Bowers’s projections, Sanders is on track to win almost 1,800 of the 4,762 delegates to the convention. This would be 38% of the total delegates.

After his upset win in Michigan last night, it’s certainly realistic to believe that Sanders can do substantially better than 38%, but it’s simply not realistic to believe that he can win. Still, if roughly 40% of the delegates in Philadelphia are pledged to Sanders, that’s going to be impressive and they’ll have tremendous influence over the platform and the rule-writing committees. It may be four years before you see how these delegates have had influence over how the party conducts its presidential nominating process, but they will have their influence.

http://www.boomantribune.com/story/2016/3/9/104241/6197

Now, on the one hand he says Sanders is "mathematically alive all the way to convention." but then he says "it's simply not realistic to believe he can win."

Well, 48 hours ago, it was "not realistic" to believe he was going to fucking win MI, either. And yet, here's the headline he used:
"Sanders Can't Win, But Has Reason to Stay In"

That, right there, is what I'm talking about. The objective headline, based on the facts as described in the actual article, is "Sanders might win" But even liberal political bloggers can't bring themselves to type the words. Not even after having just had to admit that Sanders handed Clinton a huge upset victory in MI that nobody was expecting.

The bias is naked and shameless. The media stand for a corrupt establishment pushing an unsustainable sociopolitical agenda that promises the elites substantial short term gain with no plan of what comes next. One might be forgiven if one thinks that these might be the same people who continually blunder us into endless Middle Eastern wars. The elites are, after all, the same people who continually blunder us into endless Middle Eastern wars. They expect short term gain out those wars, and don't have to mourn the loss of the their own sons and daughters who died fighting for their access to somebody else's oil. As for the consequences of their chaos, they just blame their own political stooges and say it's their problem to fix it.

Honestly, the political stooges of the elites should be listed on the commodities exchange. So should broadcast and cable "journalists" reading the provided copy on the corporate Pravda.

The bias of the corporate media is naked and shameless because the elites are naked. They really aren't shameless, since we see them hiding behind corporate logos. The naked emperors are Legs Dimon and Pretty Boy Lloyd, David and Charles Koch and Rex Tillerson, all better known as JPMorganChase, Goldman Sachs, Koch Industries and ExxonMobil. The elites aren't so special. They are made of the same flesh and blood we common folk are. Those things they hide behind aren't real; they're made of nothing organic, just legal documents.

We, the People, aren't stupid. All of us cannot be fooled all of the time. We know the corporate media is lying; we know most politicians don't represent us common folk. We know what tyrants they serve.

It is not possible to in this environment to imagine an unbiased corporate media proclaiming "Bernie can win." When a corporate tyrant makes a prophesy, he expects it to be self-fulfilling. In a democracy, news outlets inform the citizens so that each citizen can think about what might be the best course of action. In tyranny, there are no news outlets, just propaganda outlets that tell the citizens what to think.

We, the People, aren't being fooled by corporate propaganda masquerading as news anymore.

That is why Bernie Sanders, one of today's few authentic politicians and few true democrats, came from 20 or 30 points down in the polls a week ago to win the Michigan primary yesterday.
