17. "hillary clinton's support of barry goldwater is immaterial" -

chris hayes on msnbc following ben jealous defense of bernie's history fighting for social justice.

"it is immaterial" is the new meme response to any criticism of hillary's participation in anything "establishment" prior to this campaign. even dolores huerta - whom i respect tremendously - used this as defense earlier wednesday on "democracy now!" for anything hillary supported during bill's presidency that is now being scrutinized.

4. Well, it's backward (not forward) and it's Right-ward (not Left-ward) and it's Red (as in Red State)

seems pretty accurate to me. Perhaps the most honest thing about Hillary's campaign, so
give her a little credit for that.

she's smart enough to know her base tends to be older & she needs to attract moderates (both sides do - it's the biggest block now). I don't know much about Goldwater except what I've quickly read on Wikipedia. He definitely was anti-communist and Hillary seems very determined to set herself apart from the left (except when she's pretending to be progressive in order to win primaries). She wants to be right there in the middle - the "reasonable" choice. I think the thing she still doesn't get is that the middle class is largely gone. We have a massive amount of folks out there who have been directly hurt by Clinton Free Trade policies, and they are turning to Trump and Sanders.

And I agree with the toon...I thought it was about the dumbest logo ever, when it was introduced.
