Mine's a busted-ass thing, and I've been having to fight it to click things just once.
Also occasionally, might be a "burp" on server-side or maybe inyour connection, where the rec shows up for you, but doesn't actually "register" and isn't present when you refresh to the page.
It's also 2 am and I've been up for hours.

Only you can take yours back.
At least this is my understanding.

That seems to be what you're describing. Now I just click it once and ignore the rest. Seems to work for me. YMMV.
