Bernie Folks... Listen up

Please don't talk about who you may or may not vote for come November. It does no one any good and may just get you banned.

Your vote is your business so you should keep it to yourself. Your participation here and now is what matters, and your Feeling the Bern is all that matters here and now.

I've been a Democrat for over 50 years. I lived thru several republican presidents and I don't ever want to live another day under another one.

Whoever is the Democrat on the presidential ticket will get my vote. Period. Finni. Done deal.

In the meantime I will do whatever I can to make sure it is Bernie, and if not Bernie, do what I can to make sure that our voices are heard loud and clear by whoever is our nominee.

You want to stay on DU? Don't start talking about you're not gonna do this or that come November. It is a long way off and things can change rapidly, so concentrate on the here and now and let what happens in November stay in November.

We need everyone now here, still here in November, so pledge to stick around and do your part. Okay?

Just ignore telling everyone what they don't want to hear about you.

One of the biggest problems on DU is posters getting personal. Your vote is your personal decision, best to just keep it that way and let your words here tell the world that you want to be able to vote for Bernie and leave it at that.

I've seen a whole lot of posters come and go.

Being however this is the first real sign of revolution I have seen in 50 years, I would miss the true revolutionaries I have met on DU. But somehow we will survive?

"The Redcoats are coming" was the 1776 warning. The revolutionaries didn't get in their face, they created guerrilla warfare, eh?

The problem many have with staying on here if she's the nominee is that they don't plan to support her. Some simply just see two evils and not a "lesser than" this time around.

Many will just stay away until Nov. 4 because they will not be able to post anything in support of Clinton. And the site will permeate with calls to get behind her, even in the Lounge. Why risk a permanent ban?

With the next seven to eight states going in his favor, he'll build momentum up for the delegate rich states of New York, California and Pennsylvania and could pull this out. Plus, we also don't know what the FBI is doing with Clinton's unsecure email server issue. It's not over.

And, yes, the revolution is bigger than Bernie - I get that. Jackpine Radicals also gets that. They're also supporting the Bernicrats running for Congress and Senate this fall, as well.

I came here to support Bernie. If the rules are that I have to support Hillary to continue participation, well... goodbye.

She can rot in hell with the rest of her neocon/banker/corporate buddies and so can all the people stupid or masochistic enough to vote for her.

I ain't voting for no right-wing Fascist even if she does manage to weasel her way into the Democratic Party nomination.

If nominated, she will destroy the party. "Bank" on it. And she'll do to this country what she did to Libya, Syria, Ukraine, and Honduras.

Hell, I'd hold my nose to even vote for a joker like Trump over her, if that's what it takes to put an end to her genocidal ambitions. The lives of untold millions of human beings absolutely depend on it.

The kind of integrity it takes to support Bernie on principle is the kind that doesn't bend a knee to the likes of Clinton.

You and I feel pretty much the same as for the candidates.

However, if there is a republican as president, our politics will end at the gate to the WH. If there is a democrat in the WH at least we can get on the grounds.

We'll see what transpires come July and the convention. It's liable to be quite an interesting time there, and here. I plan on being here and there, and discussing it with others.

I'm in politics for the long haul. And sometimes I've had some strange partners in working politics. I've learned to not make enemies... they will make themselves. Democrats are not my enemies, but republicans sure are.

Some people believe that ramping up the PNAC wars rather than ending them is just plain wrong.
Some people believe that too many countries have been invaded and destroyed already, their physical and social infrastructure wiped out.

Some people believe the big investment banks don't need any more deregulation.
Some people believe that war profiteers ought not be enabled.

Go ahead, vote for more. That's your freedom. But you'd better start right now looking in the mirror and practicing your lines, because unlike Republicans who can be honest about what they're about, a vote for HRC requires a false front. Requires you to deny it.

Practice saying it: "HRC isn't a neocon, she's a liberal interventionist and the PNAC wars are over now, they've morphed into being progressive wars of liberation." Practice saying it: "I'm for universal health care, so long as the profits of health insurance companies are ensured forever."

It'll require a lot of practice, but if you vote for it then you'll own it.

Echoes the UN "responsibility to protect" or R2P.
... they meant well ...

I was enjoying a bit of poetic license in my phrasing - in an attempt to mirror the psychology behind the Dem Party establishment's embrace of folk like Robert Kagan, Victoria Nuland, Henry Kissinger, and the entire clusterfuck of amoral bad apples who've been engineering the PNAC wars. After all, Robert Kagan outright said that Dems won't accept "neocon" but will be more likely to accept "liberal interventionist", and on alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays HRC claims to be "the most progressive" politician. So perhaps I was sloppy, the poetry coming too easy.

So what we need to do is make sure Bernie gets elected.

Maybe instead of telling me what I should do, some of those telling me what I should do should be out working to get Bernie elected?

I am not the problem. The system is. I have busted my ass on fixing the system and all the while have been knifed in the back time and again by those who rather rant than work to make the changes.

Like Bernie, who has thrown his hopes on the democratic party to make changes, I am left with that one choice and there being no better alternative, will vote for whoever is the party nominee.

What any of the rest of you do is your choice. Haven't I made that clear?

You wrote an OP, and contradicted yourself in it. That's all.
That is, you contradicted yourself if you consider yourself to be a "Bernie supporter" who falls under the umbrella of your advice: "Bernie Folks... Listen up
Please don't talk about who you may or may not vote for come November. "
Followed immediately by a declaration of who you'll be voting for come November, come hell or high water:
"Whoever is the Democrat on the presidential ticket will get my vote. Period. Finni. Done deal."

Now, you may not see that as a contradiction. But as you know by now, others disagree. Likewise some might concur with your loyalty oath, but others might not agree - for a lot of reasons.

You repeat the contradiction in your reply to me. You say:
"What any of the rest of you do is your choice. Haven't I made that clear?"

No, you didn't make that clear. You told us to listen up, then to shut up if we disagree with you.
So naturally you didn't get universal accord.
