Oh, those pesky talking points

I often read replies to threads until they devolve into muck. On a recent post in the primary group, a Bernie supporter recommended watching the Bernie/Cooper interview from last nights CNN segment. The third reply was from an unnamed Clinton supporter stating, and I am paraphrasing, "No thanks. I've heard his talking points for years. I hope I never hear them again."

All I could think was, "They all have talking points."

Here are some of those pesky, boring talking points on our domestic front.

It may be repetitive but I cannot imagine why someone would not want to try to achieve these things. I have voted in every election, including the off year ones, for the last 44 years. The spirit of the message that Bernie is extolling, over and over, has been ideals that I have embraced since my youth.

As a youth I had the realization that the 1% still had their heads intact because they gave the rest of us a bone with a bit of meat on it. Over the years, there was less and less meat on that bone and now we are lucky to even got a bone. After years of Devolution, we are ready to reverse the trend.

Keep repeating those talking points - Bernie may not win but the message will continue. It is cyclical and the pendulum is moving in the opposite direction.

be trying to influence others with that comment. Some might read down the page a bit, see that comment, and decide the article is not worth reading and move on. It is yet another plot to discourage attention on those very important issues Bernie keeps stressing we need to implement if we are ever going to regain control of this nation from the Oligarchs and their fight to enslave the populace again, economically and otherwise. I guess that poster must be really wealthy or one of those who hope to become wealthy, otherwise they would have to be one of those voters that vote against their own best interest. Who knows why they would take the time to make that statement. I can't see why those voters don't just move on if they aren't interested in an article. Boggles the mind.

Texas March 1, 2016 Ballot Under A Cloud

See reply #2.

If weathervane already has Texas why would she waste a VP pick from there, instead of from a state where the delegate count for the weathervane, is less than for the Progressive Democrat?

If there had been income equality, all these years, then we would not be in to Oligarchy slavery decisions now. This entire country needs to Bern in order to extinguish the past supply-side Ronnie.

I couldn't agree with you more. I just can't understand why something so easy to see appears to be going undetected. Maybe I'm missing something, as I said, I just can't understand why the populace appears to be going along with this plutocratic society that is developing in this country. Why would they want to double down on it with the weathervane instead of voting for a true progressive that can actually start to turn this around?

4. The Hillary supporter has a case of confirmation bias

The person only wants to see, hear or read things that confirm his or her intent to vote for Hillary and to avoid anything information that doesn't confirm his or her point of view.

Thought we started moving back to the left in 2008. That's part of why I hope Bernie is our nominee. He is and always has been further to the left. Want to keep moving in that direction after a lifetime of watching our country move to the right.

Republicans in to the Obama Administration. Then, some months later, the president told us that he was a
New Democrat and not the Progressive Democratic Principle, that his 2007-08 Campaign promises stemmed from.

In 2013, the president tried to chain Social Security. So Democrats running for 2014 offices could not ask him to campaign for them. And there was a non-effective DNC also. Democrats lost many seats to Republicans (2014), like in Kentucky, where the Progressive Movement of 2008 was abandoned. Apparently the choice was between two candidate platforms, was somewhere Center. Who stopped the chaining of Social Security? The majority leader in the Senate, the extremist asshole from Kentucky.

Why such a person would not vote Republican is beyond me.
