Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumDoes anyone have a breakdown of how many donors provided HRC's $28 million dollars?
I'd like to compare the total number of donors between her $28 million and Bernie's $25 million.

(3,967 posts)Since maximum donation is 2,700, minimum donors is 28,000,000/2,700 ~ 10,000.
I still got it!

(45,251 posts)Success in getting $1 donations would have at least 2 effects. One would be to show a larger number of donors. The other would be to bring down the average amount of each donation.
Granted, Bernie always asks for donations of $3, but that was for very different reasons, not to make the 3Q 2015 results look a certain way.

(5,204 posts)Hillary raised 60% as much this time, so probably about 150,000 donors.
Sanders had 284,000 donors last time.

Sanders has 650k donors now, I assume that's including Q2. That's already over DOUBLE Obama's 2008 total of 320k donors.
What's interesting that last time despite raising $45.7 million to his $13.6 million, he raised more from people who gave less than $1000. He raised $12.5 million from them compared to $11.2 million for Hillary.

(6,452 posts)Hopefully upcoming FEC filings will give me a more exact number. I think as the number of individual donors grow (even if the total dollar numbers stay equal or close to Hillary's), it's going to be a very telling statistic.
